Happy Birthday to Scott, Juliet, and Hailey

No, we aren't Uraguay fans or Slovakians.....we are just innocent bystanders in the form of a fashion misdemeanor in lieu of birthday celebrations a few weeks ago. See what you guys are missing out on by not coming to visit? Ole! Go Spain!

Now, if the seasons were having their own World Cup extravagansa, here's what the standings would be:
Fall: Honorable Mention
Winter: 1st Place
Spring:2nd Place
Summer: Knocked out in the qualifying matches=Did not place.
Rainboots: 4th Place
Scarves: 3rd Place
Bikinis: Did not qualify.
Sunscreen: Did not qualify.
Flip Flops: Did not compete due to technicallities related to loyalty issues.

Other Tournament Noteworthy Happenings:
Summer received the most red cards for very foul play.
Fall had the most points scored in a match. And Spring came away with most attempted shots at goal. The unanimous VIP's of the tournament were the Rainboots with Scarves coming in close behind. Scarves may take it in the future. Let's hope not.

Bwah ah ha ha ha ha ha

This is how I feel about World Cup Soccer......And that's about all that I have to report about that, as my weekend was mostly at the bar or on a walk....to another bar. I joke. But boy, this soccer is great.

Latina detective investigates cold case and hot romance.

Ha!
That go your attention, now didn't it!
I was browsing through the "Newest Fiction" section of the library online, and, "Latina detective investigates cold case and hot romance" was the one line description of one of their books. How could I resist? How can ANYONE resist?!Also, how can you resist this group of hot Seattle babes? Yes, this photo was taken in May, but please know that we are still this pale in August. That being said, it HAS been very lovely......long, sunny, overly warm days and nights, with sometimes fog in the morning.
Last week was fairly uneventful, I think....It's Monday morning, and frankly I am still feeling a bit foggy.
I think that my favourite part of last week was channeling Katie Raffetto on Sunday and drinking coffee and reading in my bed until noon. I actually got up, refused to MAKE coffee, concealed my pajamas, put on a hat and sunglasses, walked through the alley and down the stairs, got coffee and then proceeded to return home and jump right back into bed. It was quite lovely.
On a slightly more active and redeeming note, I decided to stop my "give-up" on the farming and have rigged a sprinkler system to the dirt patch that is supposed to be growing stuff, or shall I say, WOULD be growing stuff if it was actually watered. I now have been watering it. So, at least the mint and the beets should survive. However, it still looks kind of depressing.
What doesn't look depressing is the alley filled with blackberries!! I am still madly in love with them. They are finally here! Every day on my walk home, I gorge myself. It is a fun challenge not to snag my tights or one of my really cool work shirts and pants on the mean prickles.
And now that my hands are all scratched up and purple I have physical evidence to present to said blackberries of my undying devotion in hopes that they will let me pass through a little easier each time.
Have a good week fruties!

Spring is upon us....

Okay, so, my empty promises about writing are way emptier than we could imagine. That being said, here we go again :)
I know I say "spring is upon us", because it still feels like it is UPON us, and not actually, like, two weeks away from the official first day of summer, man.
That being said, this gloomy shit weather is AWESOME. I love it.
And no, there is not sarcastic intonations (correct use of word? made up word?) implied.
Don't tell anyone over here, because I might get my car keyed or, even worse, my coffee switched to decaf or General Mills.
Did I just date myself?
Who cares. I'm 40. So suck it! I really enjoy saying that lately. It feels even more powerful than the standard "F.U.".
So, what am I talking about? Nothing. It's Monday.
World Cup soccer starts on Saturday, and I hope that you will all be chugging beers at 7am for the first game, Mexico vs. South Africa. I will be.
Love you all long time. XO
