Okay, Hi!!
I'm sorry, but I am still seriously obsessed with all of the insanely wonderful places that ferns seem to grow out here! It is so awesome and mushy!
These pictures are from my "backpacking for one expedition" out to the Olympic Coast, back in July; pronounced today : jewww-lie, walking to the beach through the cedary, lush forest.
Okay, so now that it is August, do all you "run arounds"over thar in Idaho feel like what is on my boot below?
I remember feeling like that, like a slug, like a nasty slimy, slow, fat slug, once this month of August inevitably rolled around.....after all of the bike rides, maybe sometimes skiing, one hike, and various water, drinking, and eating sports that had been being partook in since, what, April? May? As August begins, my summer farming is going to come to a quasi end. I have decided that I don't really like farming....(at least not in the summer). I forget to water ALL THE TIME, and this has turned out to make for a puny, dusty, depressing looking crop of dried brown scraggly viney things. It is very sad looking and causes me to feel very LAMEOREOUS.
So, for now, I am just going to farm in the winter when it rains more than 24 hours a day, landscape, and stick to the few house plants that I can handle......and of course pick the shite out of the blackberries.
I guess that it is just baby steps, right?.....Baby steps for a not-baby. Speaking of not-babies.....
Monika was here this past weekend, and in fact, the few of you that are sadly privileged enough to get this, are probably out getting drunk, right now, celebrating her induction into official hag-dom.

We completely overstuffed ourselves, dangled our feet in the water, played cards, and had on overall lovely time.
What else? Did I tell you that I finished my stint at the Evil Empire and now I am working for "the man" as of last Tuesday?
So far, I like my new surroundings. I get to take the bus to work and there are lots of yummy eateries within steps. But I tell you, it sucks paying for coffee.
Talk to you soon. XOXX
