Yay! 2nd successful weekend finding some Chanterelles :)
The contents in the bag below were somewhat an inadvertant find. We were just going on a hike......
But then, when I was reading about where we were going, it mentioned something about Douglas Firs. I thought, "Hmmmm, I am going to bring a paper bag, just in case!" (As I am not total nerd status, and don't have a mushroom collecting basket......yet........)
This is me being happy that I found some Chanterelles......(not going poo like it really looks like).
The tomatoes that you see below are the ginormous bumper crop of homegrown tomatoes and basil from the shiteous summer. Yep, that's the whole take. Everything else is still green. I guess we are going to have to get our fried green tomatoes on, this fall.
Everything from the above, got turned into pizzas complete with hoemade, I mean homemade pizza dough......pizza dough that actually tasted like cracker-bread-pizza-dough, but oh well, still pretty derned good.
